The two peaks in the background of this photo are near Nam O River. These peaks can be noticed in a lot of my photos. They are the most Northerly point of our AO. From Nam O River North, the AO becomes 3/1's.
We are following the trail around the farmers fields, as they do, instead of just walking in a straight line through them. Provisional Rifle Company showed the villagers a lot of respect, by the way we treated there crops, fields and rice patties. Part of our mission was the "win hearts and minds program" . Win the war by being a nice guy. Interesting.
We knew allot of these people personally and helped them when we could. I don't think it was necessary to have some program name put on it. Provisional Rifle Company was here for them.
