Village shop.

Here's the little boy and his sister again. I got to a point where I recognised most of the civilians. This Marine was new to our squad. He is talking to one of the kids dads. I presume he is asking this man why he's not working in the rice patties, and such to see how he reacts. I know this man is a shop keeper.

It was hard for us because we couldn't even read things like the big sign in this photo. Or speak the language. We had to do most of this by gut feeling. It was like being a cop in a foreign country.
