This booby trap was common. It is made with a hand grenade, C-ration can, two bamboo stakes, and some wire. The can is tided to one bamboo stake, the grenade is slipped into the can. The pin is pulled out of the grenade making it armed. There is a wire tide to the grenade that crosses the trail and is tied to the other bamboo stake. The point man walks down the trail and through the wire pulling the grenade out of the can allowing the grenade to explode. This just didn't explode. Lucky point man.
