Pop was new to the squad when I took the first two photos. Pop is armed with the M-16. He is a ammo humpier and carries 500 rounds of 7.62 for the M-60 machine gun.
I know Pop is okay, because I received an e-mail from him today! 25 March 2003. Thirty three years of not knowing if he was alive or dead. You could say that's part of the Vietnam experience.
